Our Mission

The Hip Hop Church features an anointed and diverse music ministry, led by Rev. Darren Ferguson – The Hip Hop Church choir and Band, the Anointed Gospel trio 3 Shades of Faith and the Gospel Rapper/Spoken Word artist Prophecy. Pastor Stephen R. Pogue delivers rousing sermons and the legendary Kurtis Blow can be found cutting and scratching on the One’s and Two’s, delivering a crisp rhyme that gives God the Glory as well as honoring local political figures, legends of the Hip Hop world and young people who have achieved academic, social and musical success. He has given away a minimum of 5 awards every week. In just over a month, the Hip Hop Church has grown to boast an attendance of over 200 people, but more importantly, young people are giving their lives to the Lord, the Gospel is being preached and God is being glorified.

Luke 4:18 Youth Development Ministries

Guided by passion, skill, education and a faith based integrity, Luke 4:18 Youth Development Ministries seeks to inspire and train young people using workshop presentations, motivational speaking, peer education, mentoring, mediation and hands-on experience to improve the quality of life for young people, especially those who are at-risk, impoverished, disenfranchised and considered fodder for the criminal justice system. Luke 4:18 Youth Development ministries will “do” ministry through Pastoral care, social service delivery, and encouraging families to become a part of the political process.
